RECRUITMENT 

 

Candidates MUST have their own transport as the 19 public bus service is infrequent and unreliable, and its then a walk up a country lane /hill. 

 

At The Upton we have a strong emphasis on the very best in customer service, alongside our excellent food and drink offerings. We also host a wide array of live music within an intimate setting, alongside themed food nights, banquets and our popular Sunday roasts. 

We are a diverse recruiter, looking for candidates with good people skills, who take pleasure in delivering great customer experience, work hard and value working within a team. Experience in front of house and especially bar work is very much welcomed. Full training is given. 

 

Weekend working is essential 

Welcoming guests in a warm and professional manner; from individual diners to large groups 

Taking accurate orders, providing recommendations and allergy advice as necessary 

Serving food and drink beverages 

Bar work, barista 

Handling customer enquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy 

Qualifications 

Full training is given 

A liking of people is essential! 

Strong communication skills 

An ability to work well within a team 

A willingness to work hard and learn 

Experience in catering or customer service roles would be advantageous 

Barista experience is desirable
